The mental health and wellness of 萨勒姆学院 students remains a high priority. We will continue to support students with counseling, mindfulness sessions, and social-emotional learning, as well as health and wellness activities. These activities are designed to support our campus community academically, 身体上的, 社会, 和情感上.
Students who are in-状态 and take classes remotely may have counseling sessions via Zoom. Due to counseling board and licensure guidelines, out-of-状态 students will not be able to have teleconference counseling sessions. 然而, out-of-状态 students can receive referrals to mental health and wellness resources in their local communities.
Employees (faculty and staff) and their immediate family members, including spouses and children living in their home, who need assistance with mental or emotional health may use the Salem-sponsored Employee Assistance Program (EAP). The EAP is a Salem-sponsored benefit that offers support resources and information, including counseling sessions, to address challenges and concerns. The free counseling services are available to full-time, benefit eligible employees. All employees can register an account through the guidance resources website to 访问olkits and online resources. The EAP is a free service for employees and completely confidential. For more information about the EAP, please refer to the April 17, 2020 EAP email memo from the Office of Human Resources. A copy of the EAP email memo is also located in the COVID-19 HR Repository (Information, Updates, and Memos) MySalem (my.萨勒姆.edu) under Services at the HR, Payroll, and Benefits tab.
